Metal Gear Online has 1,000,000 Soldiers
Posted: November 4th, 2008 by Godly GamerKonami announced that 1 million players have now signed up and are playing Metal Gear Online. Now I know that sounds like an impressive number to some people, but you have to remember that Metal Gear Solid 4 has sold at least 3 times that many copies so you would think more people would be playing. I bet Konami is not too excited about those numbers, but at the same time, however, this is a nice little milestone for them. Check out this article at Joystiq for more information. Have you played the game online? If so, what do you think?

Left 4 Dead Screens
Posted: November 4th, 2008 by Godly GamerThe more I see Left 4 Dead, the more I think it’s gonna be pretty badass. Nothing like teaming up with 3 other friends to survive a zombie apocalypse by killing everything in sight! And when Valve is making it, you know it’s gonna be pretty damned good. Check out these screens in all their glory before you play it on November 11th!

No Little Big Planet Image Importing
Posted: November 4th, 2008 by Godly GamerWhat started out like an interesting update to Little Big Planet turned out to be flatly denied by Media Molecule and Sony. In a Joystiq article it was originally stated that an update would bring about the opportunity to import images into your massive user created levels (for an even more realistic Gradius). For now you are still stuck using the Playstation Eye.
While the idea would have been very cool and had propelled the game into even further into its “awesome” status, I think a little thing called copyright and the control of copyrighted material will probably hinder this idea much the same way as the music creator in Guitar Hero World Tour. That and how many levels made entirely of boobs and penises would have gotten to play!
Boku, Microsoft’s Little Big Planet
Posted: November 4th, 2008 by Godly Gamer
Microsoft has recently unveiled its new project, Boku, at a conference in Los Angeles. Boku is an icon driven to allowing Xbox 360 and PC users the ability to create games with a controller. This is apparently built to create a bridge between user creation (ala Little Big Planet) and the more complex ideas behind XNA. It is being reported to be released in 2009 (with Microsoft rolling out the user created XNA stuff with the newer dashboard updates). The program manager Matthew MacLaurin says that he wanted the kids of today to be able to have as much fun as he did programming on his Commodore PET and away from the passive-TV watching.

31 Amazing Video Game Costumes

These costumes are based off of video game characters, and they look to be the best lot of pics I have found. Check out the pics and let me know what you think about them.
Oh, and the one shown is the sexiest, but not necessarily the best (but do click to make her bigger)!

BioShock’s PS3 DLC Priced, Laughed At
Posted: November 3rd, 2008 by Godly GamerThe new details about the Playstation 3’s Bioshock DLC has finally surfaced. The content will be a measly $10, and will include 3 challenges. These are the challenge rooms that you have been hearing about for a while now. They are all self-contained and range from going through a gauntlet of baddie filled rooms to save a Little Sister to saving a little one from the top of a ferris wheel.
All three of them seem interesting to warrant a purchase of them together on November 20th. I fail to see how this was supposed to sway people to buy the game for the PS3. This seems like a wimpy release that I would have wished tied into the game somehow and contained a little more substance.
Check out Joystiq for more details on the content.
Tabula Rasa: the FPS
Posted: November 3rd, 2008 by Godly GamerThere is a new update to the MMO Tabula Rasa from NCSoft in the works. This one will now include a first person camera view. There will also be scope views for certain weapons, cockpit views, and a more zoomed out third person view for support people.
Now I know everybody’s been playing this game to death already, but this looks to bring the game to a more shooter-influenced gameplay that has been discussed in the past. I may actually have to look into playing it, though I am never overly-excited about paying a monthly fee unless it is absolutely worth it!

Worst Nintendo Games Ever
Posted: November 3rd, 2008 by Godly Gamer
The guys over at IGN have given us an interesting list of their worst reviewed games across all the Nintendo consoles. Now I have played my fair share of hopelessly bad NES games. I cannot say, however, that I’ve actually played any of these games, but from the looks of it, I would have probably cried a long time ago. If you have played these games, maybe there’s a good support group or Nintendo has a support answer/FAQ about getting your money/sanity back.
What are the worst Nintendo games you have played?
